London School Games (Y10 and under)
Ernest Bevin earns gold too; Lycée Français silver
Forty-seven teams battled through a long day at UEL Sportsdock on Friday (8th March) as the contest progressed to decide top London schools for pupils in Year 10 and below. Mathematicians who left early will find the statistics odd, however; on studying the finishing positions provided below they will assume the boys' details are incorrect.

Sadly, there was an unsatisfactory end to the day after Lambeth's Elm Green School, having beaten Ernest Bevin in a thrilling final, was disqualified for competing with an over-aged pupil. In the play-off for third and fourth positions Marshalls Park in the London Borough of Havering beat St Bonaventure's from neighbouring Newham 25:17 and the schools were awarded second and third on the disqualification of Elm Green.

The girls' final was even closer than the boys' with a 26:24 score-line separating Marshalls Park, Havering from Kensington and Chelsea's Lycée Français. Central Foundation beat Tiffin Girls School 25:20 for the bronze medals.
