Malory Eagles 3 v Imperial College (Men's D2 Red - London Volleyball League) to be played on 8th December
Ashly cleans up fixture list
A sporting decision by Imperial means that their away fixture against Eagles 3 has been restored and will be played some two months later than originally scheduled. The penalty imposed on Eagles by the divisional administrator has been cancelled.

score 0:3 by default.

Administrator awards match and no points
Having seen evidence that Malory Eagles 3 failed to organise this fixture, scheduled for 6th October, the Divisional Administrator accepted the visitors’ claim to be awarded the match. As a result, Eagles don't get a point.

Student teams are not usually at their best early in the autumn term and Richmond College were at another disadvantage in playing away over a weekend when several players are unavailable. Moreover, they faced a determined and experienced side that had too much fire power.

Tunnel Diggers made a good start to the match and initially led the first set impressively at 2:5. However, at that point Grzegorz Wojkowski rotated to serve and he was able to unnerve the opposition to the extent that when his spell of serving was over, Aces led 12:6. Tunnel Diggers did recover slightly to 13:10 but the damage looked extensive.

Not a Wildlife Show
92 minutes of entertainment and not a drop of blood was spilt. The home side just managed to secure the opening set but seemed to relax much too quickly and were surprised by good Balham attacks to yield the second comparatively easily. Raising their game for the third, Sharks over-ran their guests and then sustained the impetus and stay in front throughout the fourth set.
