London Federation of Sport and Recreation recognises contribution by volunteers
Two centuries commitment to volleyball
A total something in excess of two hundred years of service by eight London volunteers contributed nearly half the work recognised at a special ceremony in central London on Tuesday evening (4th June). LVA Chairman, Charlie Orton who is also President of the London Federation of Sport and Recreation presented the awards on behalf of the Federation whose guests included Roy Pankhurst who has just celebrated his 80th birthday, looking years younger and a wonderful advertisement for sport. Roy is best known in London as coach of the Southgate teams that were one of the dominant forces in early volleyball until he moved to the West Country where he is still active in the regional association.

Team London Ambassadors relaunch
Volunteers seeking clubs!
The pink and purple uniform will change but the friendly faces of the London Ambassadors that welcomed visitors to London during the Olympic and Paralympic Games will be back: some in their familiar capacity, others in a completely new one.

The training for London Juniors for the Volleyball England InterRegional Competition was a great success on Sunday 5th May at SportsDock, in the University of East London.
