Dramatic end to two incredible weekends
One side was markedly stronger than the other in the women's final in which competition Macau surprised by finishing third while the in the men's final, after an opening set in which experience triumphed over exuberance, Hungary were taken to two more tightly contested sets. UK, narrowly beaten by Africa in the semis, were third.

NVL Super 8 : IBB Polonia have to fight for victory over London Lynx

IBB Polonia were shaken at the start as Lynx came on the attack, and were ahead at the first technical timeout 8-5.
The coach's advice was enough to strength the League leaders block and they soon levelled the scores.
Following some strong play by both attacks the Polonia team were ahead at the second TT 16-14. With Polonia now in their normal rhythm the first set was soon taken 25-20.

Sitting League : Sitting Volleyball:League Final Round

Sunday 6th February was the final round of matches for the inaugural London Sitting Volleyball League (LSVL). This new competition set up in this Paralympic Games year was designed to complement the Volleyball England Grand Prix Series and provide some additional competition for the 3 teams based in and around London both to help the teams continue their impressive recent development but also give the Great Britain Players some additional matches in preparation for the WOVD Inter Continental Cup in Cairo at the end of February.
