London youth volleyball feature
Did you know . . . ?
The national competitions for youth volleyballers are under way: competitions for under 16 and 18 with another for under 15 in the new year. But did you know that . . .

In addition to the twenty London teams taking part in the National Championships, here are some more interesting facts I have pulled out from Volleyball England’s website. The information is a bit scattered here and there but I think I got it right.

In the last four years, London teams have won 23 of the 48 medals in dispute in the under 16 and under 18 Junior national Championships: Richmond: 16 medals (9 golds, 1 silver and 6 bronze) followed by Malory/EBC Greenhouse: 7 medals (1 gold, 5 silvers, 1 bronze)

Hopefully 2020 will be the year when the London teams will again dominate the competition and maybe other London clubs will make their first appearance in the finals. In 2019 London Lynx made it to the under 18 boys last 8s where they finished fifth.

We don't have all the information on the under 15s but it will be added once its released, However, for sure there will be some more medals there too: at least 5 more from Richmond.
