Division 2C (Men's London Volleyball League)
Competitive month in prospect
One of the divisions that starts a week after the others to regulate usage of facilities and availability of match officials, the division with eight teams like the B section each play two games in October. The format should ensure plenty of interest.

The first three take place over two days with Phoenix and Lionhearts Pride opening the competition at Ladbroke Grove then a day later Flaming Six Cougars staging a home game at Wormwood Scrubs prison to allow inmates to be selected who are unable to travel to away games. It's a side that occasionally has some extra talent to augment the staff that make up the bulk of the team and are always competitive. The same day, AVC will be at home to Londinium. AVC play in Stonebridge Park, not far from Ace Cafe on North Circular Road so the roar of motor-bikes might drown out the supporters' cheers.

There will then be five fixtures in an eight day period. on 13th October Wimbledon Wolves 2 are at home to Fireball in Raynes Park then, on 18th Londinium play Flaming 6 Cougars in Hammersmith. A day later, on 19th, City of Westminster College in Paddington will be the place to be when Fireball take on Phoenix and, next day, there will be two further fixtures: Lionhearts Pride against AVC, and Tunnel Diggers against Wimbledon Wolves 2,

The month looks like having a dramatic end.

London Competitions Secretary Cisel Ormanci is also looking forward eagerly to the new season. She says “Welcome to the League Season 2019/20. Congratulations to the 2018/19 trophy winner, Besty Boys who join the teams in the first division this year. Now a new season starts and I wish everyone a great competition.
"A quick message to all clubs who don’t have junior programmes: please develop one...I know it is hard work but a necessity if we are going to be around in another ten years.
"I hope you all continue to enjoy your volleyball and best of luck and smooth running this season.”
