London beach volleyball
Crystal Palace provides seat of learning
The first of nine evening courses drew good numbers of boys and girls under eighteen to the Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening (5th June) as the National Sports Centre at Crystal Palace offered tailor made courses for younger Londoners to build on the increased interest in beach volleyball evident in the capital this summer and to augment the training offered by Richmond Volleyball Club for several years. There is still time to join the eight evening classes that remain and the two three day camps being organised in August.

Led by national team coaches Will McDonald and Lewie Lett, the evening courses continue between 5.00 and 6.30 pm every Wednesday until 31st July, the course costing £60. The three day camps each from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm will take place from 14-16th August and from 21-23rd August. They will cost £75 each. A special reduced price is available for those who sign up for all the courses, evenings and three-day sessions; it's £150, a saving of £60.

The centre provides three full sized beach volleyball courts that can be floodlit and is part of a complex that includes an indoor arena, 50 metre swimming pool, athletics track gym, and changing rooms, so participants join an active community that encourages development of talent. There is room for a few more.
