Volleyball Coaches Clinics
Total volleyball
Open in new windowTotal Volleyball is a relatively new arrival on the encouraging scene of quality coaching and systematic training that is currently raising volleyball standards in London and across the country. Formed just under a year ago and based in Hampshire, it held its first courses in the summer of 2018. They were a one day clinic on serving on 30th June and a one day clinic on service reception the following day, both in Southampton. Instructors were England cadets coach, Clayton Lucas and national beach coach, Kirk Pitman.

London coaches and would-be coaches will be interested to learn that the organisation is to run two clinics on Saturday 11th May which will be held at Sparsholt College, Winchester on Saturday 11th May. There will be two separate courses. In the morning Dave Gunter, head coach of Wessex VC junior girls, Southampton University women and men's teams and south-west regions under 17 girls, will be leading a session entitled, "Are you training in Reality". In the afternoon, Jefferson Williams and Carol Gordon who need no introduction to anyone who follows the fortunes of Malory Eagles and their course is advertised as, "Offensive optimism & tactical serving and block defence systems". Each two and a half hour clinic costs £30 but you can sign up for both at £45.

Apply through Totally Unmissable web site where full details are available.

The organisation's web site tells us that it aims to offer exemplary coaching, education and training to all levels of player, coach and referee. It starts with performance, working directly with player, coach and teacher to broaden their understanding of the sport and sharing their extensive knowledge of volleyball. It provides a variety of seminars, training camps, skill specific clinics and educational procurement to help improve performance, technique and understanding.

Participation in one of both of these clinics will assuredly set your coaches in the right direction as they prepare for next season
