Men's Premier : Last game likely to be decider

Tie at the top of Premier Division (Men's London Volleyball League)
Richmond or Onyx will take the glory
Bar Lynx with three, the top teams have just two games left to play and it could scarcely be closer at the top of the table. However, although leaders Richmond's "sets difference" is five better than Onyx is second place, it will probably be the result of the final match of the season that will determine the title-holder. The teams are equal on points. We can expect the biggest ever crowd at the Harrow Club from 8.00 p.m. on Wednesday 24th April when the two top teams meet to decide.

That said, they will both have to secure the same result in their early April game which both will be eager to win. Richmond would seem to have the tougher task with a fixture at home to third placed Lynx on 4th April. However, they will know exactly the task in hand for Onyx will have played Spikers, currently in seventh place, also at home the previous evening.

Interestingly, if both leaders win, another match scheduled for 24th April could decide third and fourth places; Lynx and Wapping Wildcats are due to meet at Rokeby School. However, if one or both were to lose, Wapping could yet finish second. There is still much to play for.

At the foot of the table too. ULU, the bottom side has three games to play: against each of the teams immediately above them at the moment. Spikers, with two games in hand, look to be safe but either Aces or Inter could yet finish bottom. The drama could continue until the end of April.
