Lynx beat Flaming 6 Aces, 21:13 16:21 21:16 21:14 Premier Division (Men's London Volleyball League)
Impressive win in four sets
Lynx and Aces gave us a spectacle worthy of its Olympic Games setting at the Copper Box on Friday (28th October) with the home side offering a master class after Aces had levelled the match at one set all.

Lynx made a strong start rocking their visitors and opening a 10:4 lead before Aces settled and, although they could make no inroad into the deficit and, indeed fell very slightly further behind by the end of the set. However, they recovered very well indeed and produced some superb play although their success was largely attributable to a spell of accurate serving by Cedric Mercier in mid set.

The early part of the third was exciting and close but in mid set Lorenzo Pinzani and Lance Symister produced some memorable attacks. Aces fell 13:8 behind and were not allowed to recover. Things continued to be close for a while in the fourth but, once again the value of good serving, this time by Lynx's Guido Petersons, enabled Lynx to get on top again and they played extremely well to the end of the match.

They now top the table with Onyx both having played three times and won all three. The only other unbeaten record in the division is Richmond's but they have played only once - they are due to play at Inter Men on 9th November. Lynx are away to Spikers on 5th and Onyx away to Aces on 10th: three interesting fixtures.
