Men's Premier : Spikers emulate Aces
Posted by Media Team on 2018/10/17 13:28:23 (99 reads)

Spikers beat Flaming 6 Aces, 19:21 21:14 21:14 21:15 Premier Division (Men's London Volleyball League)
Each team has one win
Spikers played their first two matches is fairly quick succession and this match was played shortly before they lost to Richmond. However, they started the campaign with a home win against Aces who had themselves opened their season with a win. As a result both teams are near the top of the table for the time being but behind Lynx who have won twice.

The first set was very competitive with little between the sides until its last few rallies in which Aces managed to edge ahead before securing the 21st point. After that Aces rather struggled while Spikers, encouraged by their supporters, kept their noses in front for three consecutive sets.

For both teams, their next fixture will be against Lynx: Aces away on 28th October and Spikers at home on 5th November. It will be fascinating to see what changes the games make to the division's league table.
