Men's Div. 2 C : SQUAD 2 travel to Bexley to open new season

Division 2C (Men's London Volleyball League)
Getting ready to start
For the first time in London's expanding competition, the men's league will have three second divisions and that required a new promotion/relegation rule. At the end of the season all three divisional winners will have earned promotion and the three second place teams will play a mini-tournament to decide who gains a fourth promotion spot.

Bexley's Betsy Boys make an early start to the season at home to SQUAD 2 who replace their club's first team in the division after its promotion and provide an informative opener to the competition. On the same day, Ernest Bevin College B will be at home to Fireball. We know that the College is a centre of volleyball excellence and that Fireball declined promotion after finishing second last season as they felt they could not be strong enough for the higher level so the teams should also give pointers to the strength of the teams. Midweek, newcomers, Baks 2, joining their first team in the competition, will be at home to Tuskers, a long-established London League side that finished a respectable fourth last season. Later, Wimbledon Wolves 2, whose first team plays in the men's first division of the Surrey League, open their entry into the London League giving Tuskers their second match on 9th October.
