Women's Premier : Talented Coach Sought

Polonia IMKA (Women's Premier Division London Volleyball League)
Ambitions wanted that match the club's
The indoor season is drawing to its close and it's interesting that our ambitious clubs are already planning ahead for the autumn and the new season. This is certainly true of Polonia Ladies who are looking for a new coach for its IMKA team in the Premier Division of the London Volleyball League.

The club needs to replace Lyes Sola who is going to be the head coach for its elite team as Mark Kontopoulos is stepping down. However, Mark is still going to be involved as the season will allow a handover between him and Lyes. So a changing of the guard and the IMKA coach is being promoted!

This is why it has just posted an advertisement for the position and it looks the sort of job that will attract the most talented. What an attractive prospect to coach the team that has been runners-up in the Premier Division for the past four year, that has shone at national level as losing finalist in this year's Shield and that has a first team playing at the very highest level in which players can gain experience: to have players who demand a lot of their coach and expect also to meet high demands made of them. It will be interesting to see who takes charge of the side.

Heading the search is club chairman, Frankie Moore who says they are looking for a committed person with proven coaching skills and a passion for growing and sustaining a long established club, developing its players especially its juniors.

They would like to have a person qualified to level 3 coaching but experience at coaching high calibre players will also be important so with this quality level 2 will be acceptable. Interested applicants are to email Frankie who will be provided with a copy of the job description of the club requirements if they register their interest.

It goes without saying that the candidate will have to be as ambitious as the team. Will it be to win the title of London Champions in 2018/19? Will it be for the side to become giant killers in next season's National Cup?
