London matches (Men's and women’s Super8 play-off - National Volleyball League)
Sideout and Orcas win
Malory, Orcas and Sideout are all through to the semi-final phase after wins this week-end (7/8th April), a stage that requires a "best of two games" format including a golden set in the event of a tie.

Orcas were the first to qualify after a good win against Tendring. After a well-contested first set they looked to have mastered their guests as they raced through the second. However, the Essex side showed great character as they shaded the third before very nearly matching them in a thrilling fourth.

On Sunday Sideout Polonia had an easier ride at home to Birmingham. The Black Country side managed to increase the pressure bit by bit but never looked like mounting a serious challenge to the pride of Ealing.

After Julian Marcon was deemed unfit to continue when the first set score was 20:22 with Richmond Docklands having only six players, Malory Eagles won their quarter-final in straight sets. The schedule has them playing away to Newcastle in the double header on 21st and 22nd April.

Orcas are asked to play in Newcastle over the same weekend and Sideout in Durham.
