21:13 21:9 21:11

Southall Snatch First Points
Both teams had just six players so the security check for this match was super quick and, when play got under way, it looked as though Tunnel Diggers were missing Tony McCann, both as a setter and a coach, rather more that the absent Singhs.

Tunnel Diggers first set fight was dented in set 2 as Southall serve continued to prove difficult to receive and build from. However Tunnel Diggers kept positive and managed a mini-rally towards the end but lost 21:9. Set 3 was better for Tunnel Diggers but by now Southall were well settled in attack and closed out the game 21:11. Southall’s Coach Rajinder Sangha commented on how Tunnel Diggers in the first season where were Southall were in their first season last year. If they keep going they will no doubt improve and certainly have the potential to do well as they play more.
