Key matches (Men and women’s Super8 - National Volleyball League)
Polonia sides first big home day of the season
This coming Saturday (14th October), will be like a volleyball festival in West London; especially for Polonia fans. In Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre there will be two matches in the Super 8 division. After a long break, IBB Polonia London will play its first home match of the season, which they anticipate to be a cracker.

The reason is the second placed team from last season; Sheffield VC, will be the opposition. The match starts at 3.00 p.m.. As an appetiser, there will also be two women’s teams playing: Polonia SideOut London and Team Durham who start their game at 1 p.m. after defective post fittings forced them to look elsewhere from St Benedict's. Tickets are for free, but please register on Eventbrite. There will be many changes next Saturday for the home team and also British volleyball. The match will be presented in the style of a professional match from Europe: this is the next step in the development of this sport in Great Britain.

Meanwhile, Lynx have a "day off" and Richmond Docklands and Malory Eagles men's sides travel as do Pulsepoint Orcas. Both Orcas and Richmond Docklands will be travelling to Bournemouth to face Wessex and after their encouraging starts to the season, they will both be looking to win. Richmond Docklands to show they are the side to beat after their competition-opening victory against IBB Polonia and Orcas after their brilliant performance albeit in defeat against Northumbria last weekend. Malory Eagles have to journey to the north-east to take on Northumbria.
