It has been brought to my notice that some participants in volleyball in London seem unaware of the VE "Player Code of Conduct".

The London Executive has always accepted this document from Volleyball England as sufficient for our purposes and has not seen it as necessary to write its own.

This is the headline of an article published on the Volleyball England web site yesterday (24th May) and is in the form of an interview with Cormac Byrne, the chairman/secretary of Wapping Wildcats who have teams in the London League's men's premier and first divisions and two in the women's division two where each finished second and earned promotion for next season.

Coach Piotr Graban leaves IBB Polonia
Open in new windowPolish Volleyball coach Piotr Graban who has coached in London for the past two years is moving on. Born in 1986, he is one of the most decorated young coaches in Poland after graduating from AWFiS Gdansk. In his two years with IBB Polonia he has led the club to two victories and two second places and to ninth place in the CEV Challenge Cup in 2017 making that year the most successful in IBB Polonia’s history.
He is moving to work with Andrea Anastasi in Trefl Gdansk.

Onyx had to wait until the last match of the season so good has the competition been this winter but they started in confident mood against a side close to the bottom of the table who after two sets both startled them and demonstrated each team's eagerness to succeed.

Sitting League : Sitting Volleyball:League Final Round

Sunday 6th February was the final round of matches for the inaugural London Sitting Volleyball League (LSVL). This new competition set up in this Paralympic Games year was designed to complement the Volleyball England Grand Prix Series and provide some additional competition for the 3 teams based in and around London both to help the teams continue their impressive recent development but also give the Great Britain Players some additional matches in preparation for the WOVD Inter Continental Cup in Cairo at the end of February.
