Already welcoming volleyball

Readers of the blue division web page for the London League men’s division two have been googling Sportsdock after a minor piece about the withdrawal of a team from the bottom division in English volleyball’s competitive pyramid. That’s because Sportsdock is where the team intends to rebuild for next season. That’s legacy – or just a small part of it.

Planning Ahead

Nobody knows what the Olympic and Paralympic Games are going do for our sport. We have been promised lots of benefits; legacy is the hallmark of the Games, we are assured. They may also bring disappointment; we shall all be very sad if there is a flood of new people wanting to play the game and we don’t have the venues for them to use or the manpower to organise competition for them.

London Legacy - Moving Towards 2012
